Terms & Conditions

At Lion View Tours, we curate exceptional safari experiences with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. The following Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure clarity and mutual understanding, allowing you to travel with confidence and peace of mind.

1. Reservations & Confirmation

All reservations must be confirmed in writing (email or other official correspondence).

A booking is deemed confirmed once:

A 30% deposit of the total safari cost has been received and acknowledged by our bank, and
The remaining 70% balance is settled no later than four (4) weeks prior to departure.

Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon confirmation.

2. Cancellations & Refund Policy

Should your plans change, we kindly request that all cancellations be submitted in writing. Cancellations become effective upon receipt by Lion View Tours.

The following cancellation charges apply:

More than 45 days prior to departure: 30% of total safari cost
45–30 days prior to departure: 50% of total safari cost
Less than 30 days prior to departure or no-show: 100% of total safari cost

These charges reflect commitments made to our carefully selected lodges, guides, and service partners.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds cannot be provided for:

Unused services or lost travel time
Itinerary changes after departure
Adjustments made to ensure guest safety due to unforeseen circumstances
Failure to attend booked accommodations, activities, or services without prior notice
Voluntary early departure or termination of the safari

4. Itinerary Amendments

Any requested changes to a confirmed itinerary—including travel dates, accommodations, or routing—may incur an amendment fee of no less than 10% of the total safari cost, in addition to any third-party charges.

We always endeavor to accommodate requests seamlessly, subject to availability.

5. Payment & Currency

In accordance with Tanzanian regulations, non-resident guests are required to pay in foreign convertible currency.

Accepted payment methods include:

Bank transfer
Major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
Cash or traveler’s cheques for incidental expenses

All bank and transaction fees are the responsibility of the guest.

6. Access, Weather & Operational Conditions

Travel in remote wilderness areas may occasionally be affected by weather, road, or airstrip conditions. While every effort is made to maintain the original itinerary, Lion View Tours reserves the right to adjust routes or accommodations when necessary.

Any such changes will be made with your comfort, safety, and overall experience as our highest priority.

7. Guest Responsibility & Travel Risk

Safaris take place in natural environments and involve inherent risks.

Lion View Tours, including its directors, management, staff, and partners, cannot be held liable for:

Personal injury, illness, or loss of life
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

Guests are responsible for ensuring they:

Obtain appropriate medical advice prior to travel
Meet vaccination and health requirements
Are physically able to participate in the safari

Your journey is undertaken with informed consent and personal responsibility.

8. Force Majeure

Lion View Tours shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government actions, civil unrest, strikes, or acts of God.

In such cases, we reserve the right to modify or cancel arrangements. Where possible, refunds will be considered after deduction of non-recoverable costs already incurred.

9. Governing Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute the complete agreement between Lion View Tours and the guest.

No amendments are valid unless confirmed in writing by an authorized officer of the company.
Lion View Tours reserves the right to engage carefully selected third-party partners to deliver certain services.

10. Concerns & Resolution

Should any concern arise during your journey, we kindly ask that it be brought immediately to the attention of your guide or Lion View Tours representative, allowing us the opportunity to resolve the matter promptly and discreetly.

11. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of a deposit or any partial payment signifies full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

These terms may only be amended in writing and with authorization from Lion View Tours.
