DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for game drive. The park stretches along the Tarangire River’s banks and is mostly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The park’s natural vegetation is dominated by Acacia woodlands and massive Baobab trees, with vast swamp areas in the south. The river and the swamps both attract wildlife, particularly during Tanzania’s dry season. The park is unquestionably known for having some of Africa’s largest herds of elephants. You’re in for an exciting morning and afternoon game drive. Drive back to Karatu late at night.

Anticipate encountering immense herds of buffalo, smaller, graceful groups of elephants and giraffes, alongside thousands of elands, topes kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelles. After breakfast, depart from Serengeti National Park and begin your journey toward Lake Victoria. Enjoy a scenic drive through the western part of the park, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. Exit the Serengeti via Ndabaka Gate and continue to the lakeside city of Mwanza, located on the southern shores of Lake Victoria. Arrive in time for lunch or relaxation at your lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying views of the lake, taking a short walk, or simply unwinding after your journey.

After breakfast, depart from Lake Victoria and begin your journey back to Serengeti National Park. Travel by road through the scenic countryside toward Ndabaka Gate, re-entering the Serengeti through its western corridor. Enjoy a game drive en route, with opportunities to spot wildlife as you make your way across the plains. Arrive in the Serengeti in time for lunch at your camp or enjoy a picnic along the way. Continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring the rich wildlife areas of the park.
This region is known for its diverse landscapes and excellent chances of seeing animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of predators.
