This affordable 6-day Tanzania safari begins with a convenient transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha (a 51 km drive). Upon arrival, you’ll meet with our Safari Manager for a detailed briefing. The following morning, after breakfast, your adventure kicks off as you meet your expert safari driver-guide and head out into the wild.
While the 6-Day Safari Tanzania itinerary provides a fantastic sample program, it is fully customizable. We can adjust the itinerary to suit your preferences or extend your journey by adding an idyllic 4-night Zanzibar beach retreat. Itinerary
Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. The park, known for its large elephant herds, is set along the Tarangire River and features Acacia woodlands, Baobab trees, and southern swamps that attract abundant wildlife, especially during the dry season. Enjoy an exciting morning and afternoon exploring the park before returning to Karatu in the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay included.
All meals provided.
Day 2: Arusha To Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. Day 03: Karatu to Mto wa Mbu
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for lunch en route. Spanning nearly 14,763 square kilometers, the Serengeti is renowned for its large predator population and the annual wildebeest migration. “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains.” Upon arrival, enjoy a late afternoon game drive before heading to camp.
Dinner and overnight stay at Narudi Tented Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your camp, embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, exploring different areas. You can either take packed lunch or return to camp for a hot lunch. Lunch will be served at a picnic site or within the park. In the evening, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater/Karatu
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch. Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering 8,292 km², and home to the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the day on a game drive within the crater, which spans 260 km² and hosts a diverse range of wildlife. Later, drive back to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Kilimanjaro Airport
On your final day, depending on your flight time, you can either relax at the hotel or explore Mto wa Mbu on a guided village walk. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
